What is the difference between a Licensed Real Estate Agent
and a Licensed Real Estate Broker?

Below is part of the answer:

Educational Real Estate Salesperson License Requirements:
1. A 3 or 4 unit course titled Real Estate Principles

2. On or within 18 months of taking salesperson exam 2 courses from following list:

Real Estate Practice
Real Estate Appraisal
Property Management
Real Estate Finance
Real Estate Economics
Legal Aspects of Real Estate
Real Estate Office Administration
General Accounting
Business Law
Escrows
Mortgage Loan Brokering and Lending

Minimum Requirements to sit for a Real Estate Broker License:
1. Two years full time work experience in the real estate field or a four-year Degree.
2. Completed the folowing courses:

Real Estate Practice
Legal Aspects of Real Estate
Real Estate Appraisal
Real Estate Economics or Accounting

3. And any 3 courses from the following list of 9 courses:

Real Estate Principles
Business Law
Property Management
Escrows
Mortgage Loan Brokering and Lending
Advanced Legal Aspects of Real Estate
Advanced Real Estate Finance
Advanced Real Estate Appraisal
Real Estate Office Administration

4. Only upon fulfilling the above requirements may an individual then apply to sit for the Real Estate Brokers License Exam.
